Existen tambien buses de transporte publico y taxis convencionales.
El transporte a poblados cercanos se hace en embarcaciones fluviales.

La forma tradicional de llegar a Iquitos es por vía aérea. Alternativamente navegando por el río Amazonas y sus principales afluentes como son el río Ucayaly y Marañón.
Iquitos esta rodeado por rios y no cuenta con carreteras que la unan con otras ciudades del Perú.
La ciudad de Iquitos cuenta con el Aeropuerto Internacional Coronel FAP Francisco Secada. que recibe vuelos nacionales desde Lima (1hora y 30 minutos) Tarapoto (50 minutos) y Pucallpa (1 hora).
Y vuelos internacionales directos desde la ciudad de Panamá.
